Seeds of Change Are Growing In The Niger Delta.

The Federal Government of Nigeria, Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) and International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD)-Assisted LIFE-ND Project is boosting food security and sustainability in the Niger-Delta region by equipping its newly trained agri-entrepreneurs with essential agro inputs across the newly onboarded states of Imo, Rivers and Akwa Ibom. These inputs are to help in launching their businesses, help grow their communities and create jobs across the Niger-Delta region.

By bridging the gap between knowledge and practice, the project is creating opportunities for young people and women to build sustainable livelihoods, boost food production, and contribute to food security in the Niger-Delta region and the Nation at large. Each participant is not only launching a business but also becoming a catalyst for job creation, rural development, and community resilience.

With a focus on sustainability, the LIFE-ND project is encouraging modern farming techniques, responsible resource use, climate smart agriculture and value-chain development that ensure long-term impact. From poultry and aquaculture to crop production and agro-processing, the project is igniting a wave of innovation that will ripple across the region for years to come.
