Learning Route Visit Of LIFE-ND Farmers To Orisha Farms.
Cage culture is a system of farming fish in natural water bodies like, lakes, lagoon, rivers, oceans etc. This system allows for controlled cultivation of fish species in their natural environment while providing protection from predators and facilitating feeding and monitoring. The cage culture has the advantage of addressing the challenges associated with ponds and raising fish in a more natural environment including reduction in quantity/cost of fish feeds since some of the nutrient required can be obtained within the water bodies. This becomes very important considering the high cost of fish feeds.
